Rex Studios was invited by Pleasure Island to re-design the 'Tommy Tinkaboo's Sweet Factory Tub Ride'. Instead of a costly new attraction, a revamp was opted for. The change however, was no less dramatic. All the existing animations were stripped out, completely overhauled and re-presented. In addition to these, a new team of animated characters called the 'Toffee Heads' were introduced into the Sweet Factory, bringing with them fun and mayhem! The 'piece de resistance' though, was to transform the ride from tungsten (white light) to ultra-violet (black light) scenery. The result? A major new water ride that is already proving to be a hugely popular family attraction!

Visitors journey around the factory through all the different factory zones, from the 'Toffee Heads' Testing Labs and New Ideas Department to the Caribbean feel of the Tropical Fruits Extraction Plant. The dramatic effect of the revamp can be seen here between the 'before' and 'after' pictures. This visual transformation is further enhanced by the addition of a new sound system and eight original sound tracks produced for Pleasure Island.
